Here is a good way to determine proper working heights of
various tables and equipment heights...
Stand straight up with your arms relaxed beside you.
Flatten out your hands so that your palms are downward.
The distance from your palm to the floor is about the
proprer height required to work comfortably and safely.

My Delta 8-inch jointer's table is 32 inches high. I have the jointer on a
mobile base that brings the height to nearly 33 inches. I'm happy.

I have a F1000A and use it very low, jointer bed is about 24" to 28" from
the floor. Basically it just sits on the floor. This hight is the result of just
putting wheels under it and never building the base like I intended.
What I have found is it is probally to low but it makes storage real
convenient. Perfect hight for storage under the lathe.
For face jointing the low hight works very well for me. You get lots of leverage
on the board.
