Has anyone used the Leichtung JointMaster dovetail jig? How does it
compare to the other dovetail jigs on the market? The other ones that
I know about are Keller and Leigh and they are much more expensive.

I used to own a Leigh jig. I gave it away at a church fair. I
believe my complaint would be accurate for any jig: I can cut by hand
in the time it takes to set up a jig. So unless you are planning a
major run, let yourself enjoy the quiet pleasures of sharp saws and
chisels.

There is much to be said for permanent set ups. I have a few. When I
have a cabinet run, I build all my draws with simpler joints:
half-laps, dadoes, etc. The furniture (for showing off to friends and
relatives) gets the hand work.

I own a Leigh jig and love it!!! Quiet pleasures for me are getting away
from the kids (through negotiation with my wife) and into me power tool
laden shop and making noise!
Sincerely and lovingly noisily,
