Some days you're the dog,
and some days you're the hydrant.
p.s. You don't use that "downstream H20" for brewing do you?

I bought beerocracy.com to use as the centerpiece of my beer commercial
pitch to Big Beer Company for one meelyun dallars. It's going to rock, if
I ever actually do it. I just wanted to make it active and have
*something* there so I wouldn't be a squatter. Thus, my favorite homebrew
recipe.
I just sold all my homebrew stuff (there wasn't much) as I want to
free up time for potential TOW. I'll have to buy my beer, I guess. I
just hope there are some decent microbreweries in Corpus Christi.
Beertatorship sounds like beer made with potatoes, but I might go register
it anyway. ;-)

Yes, I was at CCS when I visited a few weeks ago. They did have a lot of
boards and sails, but there were some problems:
The boards had a price, and that's about it. Some of them were in good
shape, but others were faded and for nearly all of them I'd have had to
gauge the length and volume myself.
There were TONS of sails, which is great. However, they were all rolled
up in bags and it would have taken quite awhile to unroll and check each
and every one out. In the shops I've been to in the gorge they'll hang
the sails from tall rafters, like a carpet barn, and you can thumb through
them quickly.
It's a good place, and I'm sure I'll be buying gear there. I didn't see a
lot of components, like booms, masts and bases. I might have just missed
them, though.
Do people in CC try to sell their own gear at all, or do they consign it
at CSS? What if I want to buy new, do they order? Are there ever any
swap meets in CC?

I remember those days... vaguely... Very vaguely...

Shhhhh... Don't say that or the health inspector will show up.

Well, then put a link to your favorite Dog House brewer. ;-)

At least you can get decent beer in Corpus now. When I first started
going down, they had both kinds. Bud and Miller. Now you can get a
decent Sierra, Spaten and Paulaner.
But for the record...
1/2 barrel, 2-level RIMS brewing system being built
power driven grain mill
fermentation capacity - 29 gallons
aging/conditioning capacity - 76 gallons
serving capacity - 30 gallons
CO2 capacity - 50 lbs
taps - 6
Coke machine - 1 (for long necks, of course)
I don't bottle. Period.
I typically brew 10 gallons at a crack because it's easier to
deal with than 15 gallons. I only made 40 gallons last year,
but I've already done that so far this year. I've never made
more than 200 gallons in a single year (and that's the story
I'm sticking to). And I usually bring homebrew to Corpus for
the Thanksgiving holiday (skipped last year because we brought
a keg of Spaten Octoberfest instead).
