Any one know about Powerex making a new softer mast to work with Sailworks Race Sails?
I am looking for masts that work with the new Sailworks Race Sails (Not Sailworks mast).
Any info on peoples experience welcome.

I haven't seen or heard anything from/about Powerex this year.
They weren't at the trade show last October. I suspect you could
find a mast from every major mfgr. to work with the Sailworks.
The 92's are closer to constant curve than last year's models.
Fiberspar purple label mast are designed for Sailworks. The
NOLIMITZ soft constant curve would work well. I use constant
curve masts for my Sailworks and they work great.

I rigged my 6.7 Sailworks Race with a Fiberspar Blue 460/30 and I was
amazed in that I could get on a plane on my 9'3" in 10-12 knots of wind and
go upwind quite fast. I see Rob Hartman do this all the time, but I've never
been able to do it before. Somehow I did something right and was probably
getting nearly 200% efficiency (but only in the direction of the 1' "waves"
which I used to help get on a plane). Anyway, a flextop with stiffness at the
high end of recommended works fine with my '91 sail. Your '92 combined with
much lighter weight may be different.

Update:
I tried my 6.7 with the Blue 460/30 yesterday when the wind dropped and it
didn't twist-off as nicely as a softer mast when the wind came back up. I
did have the mast pretty far back in the track so just keeping the board
flat was also a clouding issue. It WAS nice to be on a plane in winds where
only the very good and/or very light usually plane!
