Note that he may need a PAL copy.
Now what about Instant Replay or Rigmarole? (spelling?).
Anton (who lost his copy of Instant Replay years ago)
What's a PAL copy??
PAL is the European TV standard (as opposed to NTSC in the US and Canada).
Resolution differs, not sure about frequency. Usually, if you stick your VHS
tape recorded in NTSC (i.e., in the US or Canada) into a VHS vcr and play it
on a European TV, it'll look similar to the locked out commercial channels on
your cable. You'll be able to tell that something is going on, but that's
about it. However, you can go to a professional and have your tapes
converted. Cost for that has come down as the equipment has gotten cheaper.
Would probably still double the price of the tape for him, though.

A copy for your buddy!
Most VCR's over here now play pal and ntsc format tapes. If the original
poster's doesn't then let me know and when you get the tape, I can convert
it from NTSC to pal for him.

Any suggestions for NTSC?
"Never the same color" is one I've heard video people mutter.
How about "Need tape sent cwick" (Sorry!)
