Before you buy.
I own a 93l F2 Axxis and find this board perfect for my 5.6 sail. Why would
you want a bigger board for your 5.7 ?
As my second (light wind board), I am now considering AHD Free Diamond 77
that should fit in nicely with Axxis and should be able to carry 6.6+ sails
(I will probably get a 8.6). So you should be able to cover a large wind
range with 2 boards and a pair of sails for each. For example, I am aiming
at 4.7 & 5.6 for Axxis and 6.6-7.0 & 8.6-9.1 for Diamond. This should
comfortably cover something arround 8-35 knots. I'm waiting for some reviews
on Diamond. I'm about the same weight as you (76kg).

In article <8apvqd$8js$1...@as102.tel.hr>,
I have the Bee 289 and am looking for a 95 to 105 L board for anything
smaller than 7.5.
I have sailed the Bee 289 fully powered on a 6.0, and it works fine, but I
would much rather do it on a smaller board.
The boards your are looking at seem like they are suited for 7.0 to 9.0 M
sails.

Just a quick idea, There is a similar post lower down
for a board in this same range.
As mentioned there I feel that you might want to consider
the Drops, Bomber 72. This is really a fun board to have.
I have one that is getting a lot of use.
For other info on the board check out the Windsurfing Magazine
Test issue. The Bomber 72 received great reviews.

I hope this helps,

I like the early planing/float of my bee but my vivace could handle
a bunch more wind. I usually bring my 289, my vivace 290 and a 265
when I travel more than a hour to sail.
good luck

True.
I had to swim back to shore once, when the wind totaly died out from blowing
20 knots.
I could uphaul the sail sinking to my knees, but I couldn't get moving.
If there is any wind, you can uphaul, stay afloat and schlog slowly, but you
will end up pretty much down wind.

the folks at wind obsession made me a board exactlty as i requested... an
early plaining 9'4 freeride... fast as anything, but can play a bit when
needed to. sailed it right down to 5.5 easily. wind obsessions are great
'fun' feeling boards, and i must say it again, i was most impressed by how
close it was made to my specific requirements.
you are a bit lighter than i, a 9'0 might be better, but, custom is not for
everyone... but, then, ill probably never go back. [i have an 8'7
freeride as well.]
cheers
