I want to here your opinion about, if anyone tried it. Considering buying
one called "Handirack", because I cannot leave roof racks permanently on my
company car, and its a hassle to install it. My quiver is max 2 boards 3
sails.

Cheers

Those look better than the other temporary roof racks I've seen.

I'd still buy an extra pair of straps that I'd wrap around the boards,
and through the car door openings, though, rather than just using the
buckles on the racks.

Company car, eh? Hopefully you also get company gas ;-)

If you're not in a rush, I'm now getting a demo unit sent to the mag.
We'll let ya know what we think.

I second the recommendation to wrap a second set of straps through the
car. Might I also add that with that second set, you need to open
the doors before you put them on, rather than strapping them through
the windows. I am (of course) way to smart to have ever strapped my
car closed. ;*)

Might I also add that soft racks can dent in the roof of your car, if
you
tighten the boards down too tight.

Out here in Hawaii, you see a lot of people with the regular
softracks. I used to use a pair myself when visiting until I moved
here and they worked OK--drove on the freeway and everything was OK.
But they are a bit a scary, because the noisy vibrations seem to be
amplified by the roof of the car. I don't think these inflatable ones
will be any better in that respect. I suppose extra straps would help--
at the very least you can run them through the footstraps just to make
sure you aren't really losing the the board.

Thanks for reply,

I think its rather safe roof rack, safer than regular ones on some car
brands like vw, because connection point on the car is not realy robust.
Only problem is damaging the roof of the car, and having a strap inside the
cabin which taller people hates. The best thing is one can use it on
different cars, and instalation looks prity easy if you keep them inflated
together with quiver.

I've seen these advertised here in the UK.

I reckon you could probably make your own and save yourself £50 by
using some pipe insulation etc in combination with several strong
straps.

There's nothing to them really. They just space whatever it is you are
trying to carry from your roof.
