Hi Daya.
Yeah, Friday was ferocious. I was at South Cape Beach, not
at Kalmas. I heard Wednesday was awesome at Kalmas, tho.
Derek (do you know him) said he was way overpowered there with
a 4.7.
Friday, I was overpowered later in the day with a 4.6.
It was scary! I had to quit before I got wounded, or
my equipment did. It was wild. Ahhhh... wish there were
lots of days like that. Seems a bit breezy now, so
I won't look out the window.

Where is South Cape Beach? is it within 300 miles of NYC? I haven't
had a 7.0 day in weeks, not to mention an overpowered 4.6 day.

Dan

(since others put it in) 8'11" homemade, Old but fast Wadells and
lots of bent aluminum that will break if I straighten it out, and
a heavy fiberglass mast. But I still fly as fast as any.

South Cape Beach is on Cape Cod, just past Falmouth, facing Vineyard
Sound. So, yeah, I'd say it was within 300 miles. Closer, if distance
and driving time factors in, might be Sandy Hook,NJ or Naragansett Bay,
RI? Just a thought...

Speaking of bent Al. Can an Al mast be straightened?

I used this Serfiac 2 piece twice before the bottom half got a 20degree
bend in it.

Roy.

Yesterday, was another fun day. 5 hrs of 5.4 and 6.5.

It's good to see that there are some some others out there that brew
their own.
What does it cost you in materials for a complete board, without fin
and footstraps ?.
Down here in Oz my last board cost nearly $400 Australian. That
includes stuff like masking tape, paint , sanding disks etc.
