Bic Lambada board

Opinions needed on Bic Lambada board! I'm looking to buy it and want to
know what conditions it's good to sail in. Is it a good board for a
beginner (can uphaul and sail quite a bit before my board sinks!) Am
looking to replace my O'Brien Elite board (submarine) with a better board!

Is this board a very uncommon one???

I have a Lambada. It's a pretty good board. The dagger board doesn't go up and down
easily, though. And after a while, the zipper for the dagger board came apart, so by the
time I was learning to plane, water was shooting up through the slot.

Now my wife is using it to learn on. It's just a little narrow for a beginner, but she'll
do alright on it, I think. The think is like the Queen Mary to me now. It's great for
long cruises on 8.0+ days (just wish I had my own 8.0!).

You said the zipper came apart and water was shooting up thru the slot.
Does that interfere with your ability to plane or your learning process to
plane?
What year model is your Lambada board?

Can you elaborate more on 8.0 days? I'm still new with windsurfing "language"
