Need to relax and get away from it all. Enjoy my 2 Br, 2 Bath, 2 Story
condo on the beach in Maui. Stunning views of the ocean. Miles of
uncrowded beaches. Central to all the great windsurfing on Maui. Great
rates at $77 a nite. I can send you a lot of info after you see my
homepage. More 1,2,& 3 BR condos available.

I'm planning to take a couple short trips to the LA area this summer, just
a single day or two of sailing. I've got some friends in LA that will put
me up, give me a car, etc..

What's the scoop on the sailing in San Pedro? Does it blow all Summer? Are
some months better than others?

> some months better than others?Hi Brian - It's blowing here from May to Sept. average 18-20 mph with
occassional lulls in the mid teens and occassional highs in the mid
twenties. I have windsurfed here since '80 and I have found July &
August to be the best months. Although it is dependent on clearing
out the morning haze over land (so it can heat up) which June Gloom
can prevent. This year looks like a warm one, we have not had our
Coastal 'Eddy'(Low Southerly Marine Layer Clouds- wind killers) yet,
which may come later or it may not come at all.Check out our home page:
http://home.aol.com/la2wndsrf for a .gif map to Cabrillo Beach as well as
quite a few others. Enjoy your stay here!

LA, the city of smog. Ever wonder why those exhaust fumes hang around the
LA basin?

Apart from a very rare Santa Anna wind, they're aint no wind to blow it
all away like San Francisco.

LA, not a great place to plan a windsurfing vacation.... even though
there are some great windsurfing shops (Like Captain Kirk's) in the area.

Hope this doesn't start a flame.... maybe a simmer.... but not a flame.
