I cannot comment on the Bravo specifically, but own a quiver of 94 Sailworks
Syncros and I am hooked. The quality, ease of rigging and performance of
this sail line has made me a repeat customer. The Bravo is a more slalom
oriented, user friendly sail tailored after the Syncro, it's fully race ready
counterpart. I think you'll be very happy with it.

The Bravo has been showing up at my Beach in San Francisco in increasing
numbers. Though I have not sailed one yet (I sail on Synchros), I have
talked to a few of the new owners and they all have high praise for them.
I think it would be a good sail for anyone that doesn't race and wants a
fast, light, maneuverable sail. The luff sock is much smaller than a race
sail, it has three cambers instead of the four that come with a Synchro,
and the result it still is seriously fast on the reaches, and at the same
time is easier to uphaul and rig and is considerably lighter (1.5 lbs).
The only problem I have heard of is that sometimes the cambers will break
if you don't have enough downhaul and you force the the sail to pop. This
problem has been corrected with new, reinforced cambers and the old ones
are replaced for free so I don't think this should b e aconsideration.
Sailworks has a good reputation for durability and a well-thought
products.

I haven't sailed the Bravo but my friend has one and likes it alot. It
also got good reviews in the magazine "Windsurfing". I sail their race
sails, the Syncro and like them alot but am considering the Bravo in the
5.5 size. The Bravo has a nice tight luff sleave for easy water starting
and 2 tubular battens for stability. The Syncros are very easy to control
is strong winds so I would guess the Bravo would have similar qualities.

If I don't buy a Bravo I'll probably get the Ezzy Transformer. I've heard
some good things about them. I personally would not buy Neil Pryde, I
don't think they are as well made as the Sailworks. My friend bought a
V8 the same time I bought a Sailworks and his Neil Pryde is falling apart
(and has already been repaired once!) where as I just sold my Sailworks and
it was still in excellent condition (my friend and I sail about the same
amount and take similar care of our equipment).

I'm not a sailworks devotee. But I bought a Bravo 6.0 a month ago.
Unquestionably the finest sail I've been on. Exceedingly stable-- much
better
than my older Synchro-- but a cinch to handle due to the narrow sock. The
sail feels much like a 95 V8, but it's much lighter and easier to handle.
I'm now contemplating a 7.5.

Truly a smokin sail. You wouldn't be disappointed.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my request for info on the Sailworks
Bravo. Everyone has been +ve and it sounds like it fits the bill exactly.
Unfortunatly, my SO (significant other) has found some furniture which,
apparently, has a higher priority on my disposable income so I will have
to do a bit more saving!

hey bud,

get your priorities straight. the Bravo is awesome you can survive 4.5.
conditions on the Bravo 5.9 as I did up at Lake Isabella a few weeks ago.
It twists off nicely in killer gusts and keeps you planing in the lulls.

Bag the furniture, thats what the floor is for.
