Hatteras Ida damage

The Island Free Press in Hatteras has posted several slide shows showing
the damage from Ida. Amazingly the first house in Mirlo Beach is still
standing while the road is destroyed. Think good thoughts for the
residents and vacationers who are enduring this.

NC DOT has reopened RT 12 to all traffic! The grocery stores are re-
stocked, and the wind is crankin' so come on down and join us for
Thanksgiving week!

Guess all the good thoughts helped. Thanx for the invite but I'm going
to family on Cape Cod roughly 41 36'n 70 24'w, if the temp is warm
enough I plan to get some SUP in, at least. Good to see NCDOT so on top
of their plan.
