I'm looking at a 96' Cobra 295 (120L) and was wondering if anyone has
experience with this manufacturer/model.

Supposedly, these come out of the same factory as Logosz.

Anyone?

Between my SO and I we own 4 Cobras. The 285-115L, 275-105L. are our
light wind boards. I weigh about 165 and with a 7.0m sail and big fin
I can plane in about 12 knots. When powered up on a 6.5 I like to go
down to her 275, not because it is unmanagable, but I do like small
boards. Last week we got two little Cobras the Wave Extreme and the
Convertible. We are on Maui now so they are in daily use in 4.0 4.5
conditions. They are great too.
I like these boards alot for the price I don't think you can get a
better board. How much do you weigh/ what conditions do you sail in,
you might want to get the 285 as a light wind board.
E-mail me with any specific questions. I'm on vacation so don't get
upset if I don't get to my mail every day :-)

No idea about the shape of this board but i think the factory deal
is the other way round: Cobra has its on , longstanding sandwich board
factory in Thailand and many other boards (Fanatic Mega, some Ultras,
Copello, On and many more, maybe also Logosz, dunno) are made there.
So at least they should know how to make good boards.

Hang loose !

I was looking at this model fairly seriously last time I was in the Gorge.
Didn't ride it though.

Maybe, but this isn't the same design as say a Logosz ProStock 9'3".
The Logosz has boxier rails and the wide point is further aft. The
Cobra has pretty tucked rails up front, and they aren't incredibly
sharp even in the rear. The Cobra looks more like a large free ride
board (it's pretty no-nosey) than a course slalom board.
It weighs about 18 lbs. Last week you could get'um at the world sails
place in Hood River for $895 new! They came with straps and pads as
I recall. Probably the right guy to talk to is Bill Kilne of Gorge
Sports. He's the distributer for Cobra and Starboards in the Gorge.
I think I saw him selling some sails here a little while ago, maybe you
could email him at bil...@aol.com.(hope this doesn't piss you off Bill)

I bought a used 288 Starboard instead.
