Does anyone have any recommendations for good windsurfing lakes West of
London i.e. Slough, Reading, Bracknell, Maidenhead etc. ?

I'd be looking to hire kit as well, as my F2 Bullet is undergoing major
surgery!

Thanks

Queen Mother Reservoir, out near Datchet is probably the best in that area.
I don't know if they do hire, but you could probably get their number from
the rya.org.uk or boards.co.uk websites. Otherwise try one of the
windsurfing shops in West London like Boardwise in Chiswick.

There's also Queen Mary reservoir near where the A316 ends/M3 starts which
does hire as well - the kit was a tad shite when I went last year, however I
think they were going to buy some more stock. there's also a shop there
which has v.good demo kit for hire by the hour though it's expensive if
you're not planning to buy.

Lastly if you've got weekends free then give http://www.omwc.org.uk a go.
It's a club with London members that goes down to the coast most weekends.
