Screen adjustment for Mitsubishi projection TV

quite good, but is offset to the right by approximately 3 inches.
This would not be an issue except that it creates a blurry "echo" to
the right of whatever image is on the TV. The echo usually shows up
more strongly with a white or light background.
Is there an adjustment I can make for this? The adjustment panel
inside the set doesn't have a control labeled "position". It has the
usual (tilt, bow, lin, skew) and others, but nothing immediately
identifiable as horizontal position.
Any help you can offer is appreciated.

Seriously, we have repaired dozens of this chassis in the last couple of
years and every one has had a minimum of 60 bad capacitors. Until you go
through all five major circuit boards, test every polarized electrolytic
capacitor for ESR, inspected every one for electrolyte leakage, repaired any
corrosion damage, and repaired numerous solder connections on heat producing
parts, you are likely to chase your tail.

No problem. Don't hesitate to ask for more help if you need it. The good
news is that most repairs on these sets amount to not much more than
changing caps, repairing damaged traces, vertical output ICs, and regulator
ICs. Tedious work, but not difficult. Save yourself some time and
completely remove each board and wash it after removing the bad caps. be
sure to scrape away all of the black corrosion from the traces and assure
their integrity and make the needed repairs.
