Hi everyone:

Sorry for the cross posts. I want to edit some home movies. Can't
afford a non-linear system much as I'd want to ....so have to go
linear. My needs are basically "average home user" type ... nothing
professional.

Wanted to get opinions on the Aver Video Editor system. Pros and Cons.
As well as alternative suggestions. It's listed as around $600.

Please respond to me DIRECTLY in addition to posting here. Thanks

Fahim

I have been using Aver VideoEditor + VD 2.5 for over a year
and quite happy with it. I can add titles and graphics
to the video. I can also capture Powerpoint or Astound presentations
to tape (Ok quality) which I use for scrolling credits.
I heard a lot of complains about VD 2.5 not working because
of comport conflicts and VCR infared too weak. Also, I heard
of Aver VideoEditor has conflicts with certain type of VGA card.
I have a 100mhz pentium, 16mb ram, ATI Mach 64 display, Sony TR3300
and Mitsubishi U82 SVHS.
Hope this helps.
Chung.
