- My problem machine is a Zenith VHS Hi-Fi HQ VR2220
- The machine works fine, but the video tracking is out of alignment with
the Hi-Fi audio tracking.
- In other words, I can have a good picture OR good sound, but not both.
- I've aligned the two on other machines, but cannot guess which adjustment
on this one.
- By the vintage and internal design, I believe it is a built by JVC
machine.
I thank in advance anyone who could post a reply to help me out!
Have a good one ..

This is a 1986 JVC unit (similar to the JVC HR-D370U). I assume it's
fine for self recorded tapes, but not for tapes made on other VCRs. The
problem is that this is a 2 head hi-fi VCR, so you don't have the larger
video tracking range like on a 4 head. You could try a new head drum
because it's possible that the worn hi-fi heads make the tracking
adjustment more critical. It may help, or you may just be expecting too
much from this 2 head VCR.
