I have not heard about this model. Is this a PAL system model?

what is a V6000

As far as I knew it was the European (PAL) version of the North American
V5000.

A used V5000 sells in US for between $1,200- 2,200 maybe.

If someone was selling a V6000 in Canada (where I am) I would pay about $1,700
Canadian.

I don't know what the currency value is in Australian dollars?

The V6000 was a V5000 with RCTC added (and a longer zoom IIRC). It was on
sale in the UK for a very short time before being discontinued in favour of
a three chip design.
