is there anyone out there with the French SECAM-System?
I have the following problem: I recently got a tape from a friend in
France. It is a recording in the French SECAM-L-System.
Is it right, that a PAL/MESECAM-VCR does not read the color signals, so
that it wouldn't work with a Secam-TVeither?
And since most VCRs in France a PAL/SECAM/MESECAM-models, is it possible
to record SECAM-L as MESECAM and then play it back on a PAL/MESECAM-VCR?
And my final question: about all these PAL/SECAM/MESECAM-VCRs in France,
are there any models than can play SECAM on a PAL-TV or would I need a
SECAM-TV as well when I would use such a VCR to play my tape?
A whole lot of questions, but I hope anyone of out there can help. :)

I am not 100% certain about this but I remember reading that if you
play a SECAM tape through a PAL VCR and PAL TV you should get a Black
and white picture from your SECAM Color tape.

What part of the world is "there"? If you're talking Germany (more
specifically Munich), yes: me.

You'll get a B&W picture.

What you want is somebody with a transcoder.
