FYI Anik E2 is up and running. CB on Transponders 18 and 22. Remember to
change polarity.

I am missing it! is it at 107.3 (where D1 is?)

Yes, I was doing some housekeeping last nite(adding channel names,
adding stereo frequencies to music stations etc.) when I bumped
into E2 riding on top of D1. The signal was strong enough to over
ride polarity segregation because the Drake has a tendency to seek
out and lock on to any strong signal. When I changed polarity and
moved up one channel the color bars snapped into perfect color and
the audio tone was clear and loud.
The 800 number asked viewers and the southern USA and the Carribean
area to call about signal quality--I called anyway since I'm in
*southern* new england(g).

Thanks for the info Tom. I have the plarity reversed and E2 back in my sytem
but I am not seeing anything other than bleed over from D1 right now (4:20
pm local time). Do you know if the color bars are on 24 hours and I am not
seeing it or if maybe it was just a test? Also, what channels are you
finding active? Darn, I hate it when I miss something <G>. Thanks for the
good info.

Yep, at 107.3. Go to Telstar 301 and change polarity. There is no
problem with 2 c-banders at the same slot since both are opposite
polarity of each other.

If we are talking 'C' band, there where lots of 5DTV slates up thru-out
the weekend! I guess u didn't swtch the POL back to that found on E1.

Oh, no 'images' just the slates, I kinda hoped for some images :(

hi robert, did too, I hang around the movie and music channels on the
Aniks and the dead giveaway is the polarity reversal. Maybe E2's foot
print is moving around or I didn't catch it at the right times. I did
see a black screen and signal strength on one ku channel and D1 doesn't
have ku. I dunno, will keep checking like everyone else, hope they can
make it.
JA-=> Anyway, the E2 C-band tests on channels 2 and 22 are coming in great
JA-=> here in North Carolina. It explains those snowy pictures I saw on
JA-=> T301 two weeks ago (just kidding).
I have not seen 2 and 22 active I saw a test on 18 yesterday( July 31,
1994). They had a number posted for the people in the siuthern U.S.A.
and Mexico to call to report signal quality.
