To all Brits and Anglophiles,

Once again this year NHK is sending its Paris signal westward. NHK has done this
for at least the past 4 years during Wimbledon. You can watch, in NTSC, the BBC
six o'clock news live (NOON Central). This feed is from BBC WSTV Europe and not
the WSTV feed to Canada or the rest of the world. Enjoy it while it lasts. It
will only be on this week and next . Where? Galaxy 6 (74deg West) Transponder 5

Also this is the time of year contracts expire for the BBC news and often the 9
o'clock news changes location. Nothing may happen this year but
then.............

Apropos of which I just got the July issue of BBC Worldwide magazine
and there is a column in there on noteworthy happenings. They say
they have come to an arrangement with a Hong Kong company to deliver
BBCWSTV in place of their lost channel on STAR

Also they say *in writing* that they are working very hard on bringing
WSTV to the USA by early next year. How many times have we heard
that one before. We live in hope.

Also if memory serves, BBC WSTV in Arabic has started. On the N.A.
front the BBC is talking to Cox and time will tell.
