I'm just guessing at part of this, but, is this maybe the way they indicated,
what did they call that, when you had a digital recorder and you would layer
stuff over itself without using work rolls? Damn, my memory has slipped a
guide post somewhere... Once you go NLE, you quickly forget the old analog way
of doing things, I can't remember the last time I looked much at an EDL, much
less saved one....

Ah, yes, PRE-READ! That was it! Does that non-event event indicate a pre-read
event?
