DV Capture and Premiere

Hi, i'm new to this nesgroup, so please don't kill me if this is a FAQ..
;-))

I have a Dazzle DV-Editor for capturing DV clips from my SONY D8
camcorder, and use Premiere 5.1c for editing videos and export them to
S-VHS tape using a DC30+.

1) - Premiere does NOT import DV files grabbed via the dazzle card (I
can capture from within Premiere, though...) even if Adobe site states
that 5.1c should be able to..... What's wrong???

2) - Captured DV clips present an ugly 'ghosting' effect, i.e. a
blending from a frame to the next, very bad for me.... any suggestion??
Some settings I could not figure out?? Get a different capture
software???

Any suggestion welcome!!!!

Additional info: Dual-Pentium II 400Mhz machine, 256Meg, HD 18Gb UW2
SCSI, Windows 2000 Professional.
