Hello,
I am planning to shoot a short film that I will want to edit, dub
dialogue, move dialogue around
and add sound effects. For the camera I was leaning toward the Canon
XH A1 or the XH G1,
but I don't know the importance of the JACKPACK HD-SDI, Timecoding
on the XH GA1. I'm
shooting with a single camera. Can anyone help direct on the
importance of this extra feature
in the editting of this single camera footage....or suggest a better
camera for that matter?
I want one with a very good pic, shoots good HD and lowlight...I've
read some negatives on the Panasonic, and I know Sony has multiple
models, but these Canon's have pretty attractive prices
Also, can you suggest the most user friendly software that I will be
able to edit the footage with,
move sound around, add sound(effects, etc.), and move dialogue as
needed? Is a Mac necessary over a Windows based PC?.....would prefer
a software that I can do all this with
that has a lesser learning curve that the steeper ones I've seen
mentioned...
Thanks alot!
Mike
