there is an ad in the next issue for
which we stand...one page,
untorn and with specificity and
information for all

it's by http://www.BetaVue.com

View On-screen playback of BetaCam
Videotapes From Camcorder to Monitor

295. bucks for the DXC,UVW Sony Series
455 bucks for the BVW series

and a new one for 795. Beta Vision
LCD Color Monitor. 5 inch Active
matrix one.

It's by Mobile Video productions.

Now the question was for the PVV series
which sony has claim to....

why not go to the www site and find out
for yourself: I cannot be expected to do
that for you? do it yourself and respect
yourself in the a.m.

what is it you want next?

bill conduit
etc.

conduit writes concerning the playback capability of the PVV-1A and adapters;

Good for you bill..............
But that is what I said. Here is the quote.

>>There is a device called theBetaview Betacam Picture and Sound Playback
Adaptor. $300.00. But it doesn't play back color, just b&w.<<

I apologize to Les for mis-spelling BetaVue.
And since Les wanted to know
>>>Is it possible to get a playback from PVV-1A Betacam on Color Monitor?
Thanks
Les<<<
This little device won't do........
But I already pointed that out.
And for $795.00 you get a color LCD monitor that displays EE Video.

what ails thee

all i said was that i would find
the ad so people could check it
out for themselves...after first
stating that as for the PVV series
no answer was to be known until the
site was found or mag ad seen

so this is an FYI. I said I'd find
it and that was that.

""" but most of all it offers people
who want to, to look up on the site
and see what it looks like and all
other etcera's....."""

just doing my part to make this
NG a more "happy place" to have
a few others inhibit.

Well if you read their ad closely it states that the adaptor only
provides a Monochrome signal and the Colour ( Canadian color) Unit is
just a LCD high end colour monitor that plugs into the BetaVue adaptor.

Also I build my own for my Hitachi Using a connector and Plastic
utility box for less than
10 bucks CDN. 6.50 US .

I would like to find the pin out for the Playback connector on the BVV5
deck so that I can work on an adopter for it. I have the information to
get the Signals from the 50 pin adaptor on the camera back but I am sure
the same info is on the Playback adaptor connector

Well......If one doesn't know what E-E or E to E video is then, yes.....they
are in for a big surprise come playback time. And they do state that the
monitor displays live color in E-E mode.
But unless you speak video and can read objectively, you would think that for
$795.00 your gonna get color playback. and you would be wrong.
(E-E or E to E video means electric to electric. In other other words.....live
...... right now .......... what you see inputed thru the lens or thru the
video input (recorder only) and/or what is going thru the video record head
right now. Not playback.)
