Sony DSR-PD150 power switch

Hi. I am currently having an issue with my Sony DSR-PD150. It started
only when I would switch to vcr mode, the unit would power on and off
rapidly. Now it is randomly affecting camera mode so I've come to the
assumption that it is a faulty power switch.

Just wondering if anyone has had one replaced, or replace one
themselves? Is it an expensive job? As much as i like my pd150, I
don't really want to spend anything unreasonable on it.

I presume you've tried a new battery or AC power?

I have tried batteries and ac power. However i tried some alcohol on
the switch before bringing it to a technician. Now the switch is
working best kind. If anyone else has the issue, just make sure you
let it dry too. While it was drying the modes on the camera were going
crazy, but once dried everything works flawlessly.
