What does it take (hardware & software) to add video clips to a continuious
sound track? i.e. two camera approach to a singer?

Hope this isn't too basic but no-one else is replying . . . .

Don't you need to either:
- lay the soundtrack then insert-edit the video cuts (minus audio), or
- make a silent tape of edited video, then insert-audio the soundtrack
Both of these will give you mono soundtrack not hi-fi.

Notice no mention of software which may help make it easier but isn't
actually essential for these procedures (sorry for saying this on
rec.video.desktop!)

For a hi-fi soundtrack I think you would have to use NLE, but I don't so
wouldn't be too clear on this.

Obviously along with your two cameras you need a separate sound recording as
well.
