Hello Andy,
You need to capture the video to your hard drive. You cannot simply transfer
it to the hard drive like you would transfer a file from one hard drive to
another. As far as the "videotape may appear as a disk drive..." this is
something that I have not as yet ever heard of so I have no advice there.
