Century has a new series of 58mm lense coming out- it's on their site.
The one I want to get is a .55 wide that is reversible for a super fisheye
look.
I think about $250 list. I also compared the Century .6 or .5 for the
xv1000 on my 900. The color matched the orig nice as opposed to my generic
$90 wide, which colored the footage.

The cheap Series-VII .42X front converters can work well
(some are very sharp, some aren't on the VX-1000 - and
shaving metal to get the .42X glass as close to the
VX-1000 lens pays off in a flatter field of focus).
Some are not coated, alas, leaving a flare and reflection
problem, but they are fun to use and can produce good
images. The photo of me on the first page of my web
page is a frame grab from a VX-1000 with a .42X on it...
