The Buz won't output unless it's an AVI
You might try HyperCam, you can get it at http://www.hotfiles.com

Hi,

I've got a problem...

I've just finished working on a movie using the Quake 3D engine and I
would like to get to movie to a VHS tape. I have no idea how to do
this. I've got the Iomega Buz video thingy, but I've found no way to
do what I want to do using it.

Is there any way to, in essence, echo what appears on the screen to a
recording VCR using Buz?

Also, if the above is not possible, is there some software to capture
what appears on the screen to an MPEG or AVI file? Then I could use
the Buz software and get it to VHS tape...

Thanks in advance....

If this is just a one-time thing, you might want to consider renting a scan
converter for a day (maybe $100 or less US). Look in phone book for video
production, or more likely from a trade show/convention type company?

Make sure it will handle whatever scan rate you want to output you signal
at.

Good luck...

A product such as the TVator will convert a VGA signal to NTSC. It sits in
line between the VGA output and the monitor cable, and gives you a tap that
feeds the VCR. Last I heard, these products were available starting around
US$150 (and up into the thousands).
