vd200 and high-speed seek

I just got a vidio director 200 and I can't seem to get the high seek to
work with the souce deck. I have checked the box in source deck setup
but no help. anyone else having this problem? if so can have you fixed
it and how? I am using a sony 8mm with lan-c.
