Just returned from a trade show in Dallas at which I saw Texas
Instruments’ Digital Light Processing actually working in a prototype
projector from Runco. This is the first time I had seen DLP, and it
looked pretty good to me. DLP uses a digital video signal, which
gives it a sharpness and clarity I had not seen before.

TI has just launched a Web site just for DLP at http://www.ti.com/dlp.
For those of you that have followed developments in DLP and DMD, the
white papers dealing with its development and production are their, as
well as a Quick Time movie showing the manufacture of the chip.
I would appreciate hearing others’ thoughts on this technology.
