Premiere 4.2 and Quicktime 3

Does anybody know if quicktime 3 is compatible with premiere 4.2 (it doesn't
work on my system) ?

QT3 is compatible with premiere 5.0. Premiere 4.2 won't utilize it at all.

Hmm... the tech guy at the Adobe booth at NAB was very emphatic that I should see
the Sorensen codec from QT 3.0 in my 4.2 Makemovie QT compression options list
once I had installed QT 3.0. I am not, however, seeing any new compression codecs
in 4.2 after installing QT 3.0 pro on my NT box. I have a call into Adobe right
now.

While I haven't got Premiere 4.2 showing new codecs from QT 3.0 on my NT box yet,
I just loaded the basic QT 3.0 on my Mac and all the new codecs now show up on my
Mac version of 4.2 - so exactly what are you referring to when you say 4.2 won't
utilize it ?

Same here guys !
It works only with a beta of Premiere 5.0 that I have.
Now we have to have 2 version of QT simultaneous (2.1.59 & 3.0).
It's ridiculous...
