Hello,
I have an educational DVD that I would like to edit (ie: remove some
sections) and then re-record it on another DVD. Can anyone tell me how
I could do this?? Would I have to copy it into a computer file and
load it back onto some sort of editing software?? I have Windows XP
with the media overlay, so I'm not sure if I can do it with this.

Thanks for your help,

Ron

Ron, first question is do you have the agrreement of the copyright holder
(which may be you) to do this?

Sony Vegas Movie Studio can import from DVD's, and you can do simple
edits and create a new DVD. This is the Easy button method. Program
costs about $80

There are other methods. You can rip the DVD to an Avi file (many
programs outthere to do this) Some other programs like Womble and
Video-Re do will let you do simple edits to Mpg files (DVD files
basically MPG format files)

A site called Videohelp.com is very usefull of how tos and pointers to
all the tools necessary.
