I have an early model of JVC miniDV camcorder. It does not have a Firewire
output. So what I need is a player that basically outputs in Firewire 1394
mode.
Which is the cheapest one?
Thanks a lot,

As I learned more, I discovered that the best way for me (so far) is
to capture the whole tape at once (using seamless capture with the
Raptor) and then in Premiere I can pick my in and out points at will
and import them into the timeline. This way I only have to use the
deck once and all other operations are done off of the hard drive
which makes it much quicker and I do not have to worry about head
wear.
In retrospect, I wish I had put the money into a new camera. I love
the Optura but would like a three chip 1/2" CCD :)
