There were 112 YES votes and 17 NO votes, for a total of 129 valid votes.
There was 1 abstain and 64 invalid ballots.
For group passage, YES votes must be at least 2/3 of all valid (YES and NO)

RATIONALE: comp.graphics.apps.after-effects
Adobe After Effects software is a powerful application for
compositing and creating professional 2D animation and special
effects for film, video, multimedia and Web development running on
either Windows-based PC or Macintosh.
Many users have expressed an interest in the creation of a world-wide
Usenet group dedicated to this program to discuss the breadth of its
features.
There are currently forums on AOL & Compuserve officially sponsored
by Adobe. Occasionaly, issues relating to After Effects appear in
newsgroups such as comp.graphics.animation and rec.video.desktop.
The creation of the newsgroup comp.graphics.apps.after-effects will
help users to find an impartial, independent and dedicated common
internet forum for discussions regarding After Effects.

Well, it seems to me that if the group went down by 5 votes, then I'd
like to know what happened with the long list of votes that weren't
counted because of ...

swing in favor of starting the group (which I would certainly like to
