- Dead Like Me (from HBO)
- Stargate SG1 (from Showtime)
- Stargate Atlantis (from Sci-Fi)
- The Outer Limits (Showtime)
- Reno 911
- Get Out! and other IONlife shows (HDnet)
- The New Doctor Who (from BBC)
- Hannah Montana
- The Suite Life (from Disney)
Hulu.com fills in the gap for any other cable shows I want to see but
are not on free television. And for movies, I don't need AMC because
I have the "this" movie channel on 8-2 or 17-2. Right now I'm
watching a classic Vincent Price movie called the Masque of the Red
Death.
You are aware that most of those shows are syndicated repeats from
several years ago. SG1/SGA has long been syndicated, typically 1-year
behind Showtime/SciFi. Some shows may be edited for content.
Hulu or network sites don't have everything. I missed the first episode
of this season's "Time Warp" on Discovery. As far as I can tell, there
is no LEGAL way for me to see the entire episode. Discovery just has a
few random clips mixed in with clips from other shows.

What time is Dr.Who on?!?
X-2 ? 21-2 ? 8-2 ? 17-2 ?
Where are you located. and what are the affiliates and names of these
channels ?
You are not posting for folks in your neighborhood - the entire
Internet.
Anyway, who cares?
HBO, Showtime, et al --
vs. Netflix.
No brainer.
Those are QAM "channel and subchannel" identifiers - i.e. digital signals.
John Carter, You're not on Mars anymore!
Who cares? They are new to me. And it didn't cost me a single dollar
to Comsucks to get them.
11 p.m Saturday on Maryland Public Television. I've also seen it on
Utah Public and Oklahoma Public TV.
WHP 21-2
WGAL 8-2
WPHL 17-2
Check zap2it.com for your local area if you want to find these same
shows on your Free TV.
Followup-to: poster??? Uh, no, that doesn't work.

ATSC (broadcast) not QAM (cable).
Agreed: that's why some post "xx-2" ...
PBS offerings vary from market to market. Each individual PBS outfit
buys the programming for their market. If it's on in Maryland, it
might not be on in Virginia, or NM, or AK. I'm just sayin'....
N.
I already knew that.

I do understand that - but here in my part of the state cahnnel 8 is
WRGT and they are Fox affiliates. We don't have channel 17 or 21,
but channel 16 is WPTD a PBS station, and channel 20 is WCET, also a
PBS station. So mentioning just channel numbers is totally
meaningless unless you say "here in Podunk, Oklahoma I get these
programs on channel 8-2, 17-2 and 21-2.
Don't assume everyone gets the same content on the same channel if
you are talking about broadcast TV.
But remember we here on MARS had digital TV long before you
earthlings thought about any king of TV!!!
I figured you were smart enough to realize my Free TV channel numbers
are only *my* channels, not yours. Besides even when I said "I have
"this" movie channel on subchannel X-2," you were still confused. You
demanded to know what's X-2. It should have been obvious (X is a
variable).
Oh well.

You are correct 21-2 has no meaning, but I did say MY 21-2, not
yours. Also when I say, "I have THIS movie channel on X-2," it's a
variable. It could be 8-2 or 17-2 or 45-2. It's your job to fill-in
the X.
Note to self-
-stop overestimating people's intellect
If you were so proud to tell everyone you were getting cable reruns on
your TV, why did it not occur to you that maybe some other person may
want to view those shows in their locale on their TV, so the reason we
were interested in the speciifics of your TV viewing.
We were talking about television transmission either by air, satellite,
or cable, not Internet anyway.
If that is the case then why in the hell did you make this post in the
first place??? Who needs to know about your channels as you put it.
I can only say that for some reason he felt the infantile need to
brag. Now why would someone post that? Isn't this the same kid that
was mad at cable tv a few months ago? Now bragging that he got some
paid programming for free. Well I hope the post made his day.
My thoughts too. Why even come here, except to try to irritate?
Exactly my point. He is only doing it to irritate as many as he can.
Everyone knows SFTV is an ASSHOLE!!!!
