It's certainly weird. Kinda requires a LOT of suspension of disbelief--
kinda like M.A.N.T.I.S. lately. That show started off good, and went
downhill, as if it were trying to be too sci-fi or something.
The biggest beef I have with VR.5 is that it has almost no visible plot.
There was almost no explanation why things were done the way they were in
the pilot, no reason for these things to be happening. It's way too
confusing. X-FILES, which is an excellent program, is confusing and vague
at times, but at least it has some degree of closure, and a definite plot.
Besides... an acoustic modem? C'mon... :)

I've always made the excuse that any Sci-Fi on TV is better than NO Sci-
Fi on TV. I'm not sure that I can wholeheartedly say that this time....
Yeah, I will...
ANY Sci-Fi on TV is better than NO Sci-Fi on TV.
I think the approach that works best is to act as a constructive critic.
To simply DIS the show will give FOX the same feelings that the other
networks have developed over the years. Why try to present Sci-Fi for
the viewers, when all they do is trash any attempt. If we try to help,
(and if they listen), the show has a chance to get better. Then maybe
you won't have to waste an hour waiting for XFILES.
When Earth2 previewed, the net burned up with messages from dweebs who
were so proud that after watching a TV show for an hour, they had managed
to find some logic flaw. On this basis, they usually trashed the show as
"flawed, unwatchable, shallow", etc...
Enuf for now..
