Dear travelers:

My wife and I are hoping to make a trip to Costa Rica around January,
1995. We're mostly interested in natural wonders, hopefully experiencing
the rainforests through some kind of hiking/camping expedition or rugged
group tour. I would also like to visit a coffee plantation. We hope to
do this within our fairly limited budget, and so are willing to cut
corners on the travel and rooming accomodations, but do not want to
compromise the quality of our tour activities. We are very
inexperienced travelers and would appreciate help with the following:

Any tours or travel specials to Costa Rica around January, 1995?
How to arrange visits or tours of the rainforests?
What preparations do we need to make?
(Medicine/shots?, special clothing?, etc.)
Need to know any Spanish?
(Our foreign language is limited to German.)

Thanks in advance for any tips or advice from all you seasoned
travelers.
