The Roman Catholic cathedral is called Mary Queen of the World
and St. James the Greater. It's on the south side of René-
Lévesque Blvd., between Mansfield and Metcalfe Sts. It's
a scaled-down replica of St. Peter's in Rome. See

The Anglican cathedral, Christ Church, is on the north side
of St. Catherine St., between University and Union Sts. See

There may be some other religious denominations that have
cathedrals in Montreal, but the above are the ones I'm aware of.
Not cathedrals, but large churches that are well-known tourist
attractions are:
Notre Dame Basilica, south side of Notre-Dame St. on Place
d'Armes, between St-Sulpice and St-François-Xavier Sts. See
http://collections.ic.gc.ca/relig/bndam/bndamexe.htm
http://collections.ic.gc.ca/relig/bndam/bndamine.htm
http://collections.ic.gc.ca/relig/bndam/bndamwie.htm
St. Joseph's Oratory, south side of Queen Mary Road, a little
west of Côte-des-Neiges Road. See

Montreal has hundreds of other churches. Religious observance
had declined sharply in recent decades, though, and the future
of many of them is in doubt.

If you like churches Montréal has been called the "city with 100 church towers"
in the fifties(in french la ville aux cents clochers). You must see Basilique
Notre-Dame in Old Montréal(Place d'armes) and Marie Reine du Monde cathedral
which is a replica of Rome St-Peter's. I would suggest you visit St-Pierre
Apôtre church(corner of René Lévesque and de la Visitation-close to CBC tower)
the only gothic church in Montréal. There's also l'Oratoire St-Joseph built by
Frère André, it's a large basilica on MOnt-Royal seeable from far away when
coming from the north or from the west . It's a sanctuary dedicated to st-Joseph
where Frère André had made some miracles.
As for history dont miss OLd Montreal, and If you like architecture take the
walking tours of Heritage Montréal. Hope these informations help you with your
stay in our city.

Dinner at Claude Postel in Vieux Montreal.
Notre Dame.
Hike up the hill to Parc Mont Royale. Great view.
If you cannot have fun in Montreal you are probably dead.
