Hi,
I'm sure they have significant supply issues.
just supplying the resorts in say... Negril is I'm sure a HUGE undertaking.
and then with Cuba, you've got the issue of the largest potential
supplier of goods and supplies in the region off limits.
I was kinda interested in Cuba because I like Cuban jazz... it's one of
the big reasons to listen to radio Havana (that and the DX shows).
I just thought... eh! US Nationals are NOT prohibited from visiting
Cuba... they're prohibited from using their US Passport and from
spending money there... staying at a foreign owned AI avoids the issue
of "spending money in Cuba"... you didn't spend money in Cuba, you paid
the company that OWNS the resort and they're registered in the Bahamas
or something.
I may end up going the "cultural exchange trip" game... but an AI would
have been easier.
