Best beaches in Panama ?

I'm looking for information about best beaches in Panama (and
Costa Rica , will be there on Dec - Jan. Searching for a beach with
white sand and good swimming/snorkeling (no surf waves).
Accommondation is a must.

west of Panama City are beaches San Carlos near the El Valle road (north).
"Coronado" beaches are the best and have better accomodations. These are
all west of Panama City.

On the Atlantic side is "Isla Grande" off the Caribbean coast near Porto
Bello (where the Black Christ statue is). Take a small boat to the Island
for the day and you can stay there if you so wish.

I have been to them all. Some are black sand and of course quite hot but
very interesting. Recommend lots of sunscreen and shoes/flip flops so you
don't burn your feet.
