Cheap Summer Europe Holiday

Looking for info concerning destinations in Europe around end June or
early August which are cheap. Not looking for luxuary just a way to
save. I have heard that Bulgaria, Russia, Romania are good
destinations. Any advice would be appreciated. Leaving from Dubai, UAE.

In general, most places in Central (Czech Rep., Slovakia, Hungary,
Poland) and Eastern Europe (Romania, Bulgaria, former Yugoslavia,
former USSR) are much less expensive than most of Western Europe.

Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece are somewhat less expensive than the
rest of Western Europe, especially if you get away from the capital
cities and main tourist sites.

London, Paris, Amsterdam, Venice, Switzerland, and Scandinavia are the
most expensive places. But you can even visit most of them at a
reasonable price if you stay in hostels or very basic hotels and avoid
expensive restaurants.

How much is your daily budget, and would you be willing to stay in
hostels instead of hotels?

What are you most interested in in Europe? Art, history, architecture,
large cities, small towns, mountains, beaches, lakes, food, wine?

Bulgaria and Romania are certainly cheap, but there are more
interesting places to visit in Europe. Russia is not so cheap. Why not
Hungary? Budapest is lovely.
I think Greece is a great and cheap destination, with art cities and a
wonderful see. I will consider also Spain and Portugal.
Unfortunately Italy has become a really expensive destination.
