Because Dramimine II and Bonine have identical ingredients, do you see
any difference in effectiveness? And what about the drugstore brands
that are also identical but are much lower in price? Does the addition
of ginger capsules to Dramimine or Bonine cause any problems and would
it increase their effectiveness? Thanks - Robert

Robert,

The biggest difference between the versions of these two - as sold
near me - is that Bonine is chewable and there are no such
instructions for Dramamine II. Sometimes the only way to hold the
medicine down is to chew it up if motion sickness sneaks up on you.

If that's not an issue, buy by price (including the store brand
versions).

Ask the pharmacist or a Dr. about mixing the two though. It's probably
not a good idea.

Warren

If the store brand of Bonine (meclizine) is available at a significantly lower
price, I try to buy that. I prefer the chewable, which means you can't buy the
larger bottle of generic (meclizine) since you swallow that. I just like the
taste of the chewable. ;) As for Ginger capsules, I also bring those along. I
buy the cheapest kind at my local drug store. I didn't take any last year.
Didn't need to. But, I always bring it along with the Bonine.
