tks
Yes small and crowded beach as I recall. They have snorkeling but not
worth it. XCaret has so much to do if you decide to snorkel you need to
rent a locker . Lot's to see and cover in one day without snorkeling.
Don't forget the night show well worth it. We loved the show very
entertaining and educational but I was glad we drove and not take a
Bus. The night show was fantastic but after the intermission the second
half of the show was mostly Singing Mexican folk songs etc. One must
remember that most of the attendance there are Mexicans and since we do
not speak spanish well we were bored after 3 -4 different singers so we
left early not having to wait for the bus. Overall we enjoyed XCaret
and the show was worth it. Prior to the show all around the stadium
you have people dressed in various Indian/Mayan costumes and will pose
with you for pics. make certain you have a flash a movie camera is
better. Hope this helps
Call before you go. Every other night the show is performed in English.
The first time we went it was, the second time it was not, and without
speaking a word of Spanish, it was still amazing. But we got much more out
of it on the night it was done in English.
XCaret remains one of my all time favorite places to visit in Mexico. And
as the other poster said, don't bother with snorkeling there... there is too
much else to do.

If you're on a cruise ship you won't get to see the night time performances
but it's still worth the time to go.

The above ground snorkeling is not worth it. But there is the
underground river snorkeling. That is more of an adventure, you don't
see much but rocks, but its somewhat like a water ride. For the
underground river you don't have to rent a locker, you pack your stuff
up and it arives on the other end. But they do have lockers
availalable.

Does anyone know how much it cost and is there a family pass???

I went a few years ago and the price was high compared to other
options. It was $34 per person then, about six years ago. If you google
on it you can get their web site which will have current prices.
Personaly I only recommend going there if your ship docks at Calica
which is right next door to Xcaret, or you want to do the dolphin swim.

We really enjoyed the underground river. It was 103 that day, the
water was 71. We brought our mask & snorkels, but not the fins,
didn't miss them.
