Ranking of top ciselines needed

Hy everybody,
I´m desperately looking for some sort of ranking of cruiselines.
It should state company figures as well as qualitiy standard and
number of guests. I need to contact cruiselines concerning the
organisation of a recruitment day at a university in Germany I am
currently organising.

So hints and links will be appreciated,

Hi Bastian!

It is difficult to give a general rating of cruise lines as there are so many
different aspects to consider. However, the largest cruise lines in terms of
passengers carried and ships are (in alphabetical order): Carnival Cruise
Lines, Celebrity Cruises, Costa Crociere, Holland America Line, Norwegian
Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, and Star Cruises.
The largest cruise companies - often having several affiliates each - are:
Carnival Corporation, Royal Caribbean Cruises, P&O Princess Cruises, and the
Star Cruises Group.

"Quality"-wise, the highest-rated cruise lines (in the luxury market that is)
include Crystal Cruises, Hapag-Lloyd Kreuzfahrten ("Europa" and "Hanseatic"
only), Radisson Seven Seas Cruises, Seabourn Cruise Line, SeaCloud Cruises, and
Silversea Cruises, among others.

You may wish to try the following book: Complete Guide to Cruising & Cruise
Ships 2002 - ISBN 2-8315-7840-x.

It classifies the ships by ratings, and could be quite useful. I'm not sure
if there's a German version.
