I have used Priceline on a number of occasions. I currently have Embassy
Suites booked for $60 for our pre-cruise stay in March.

I would suggest going to
http://www.biddingfortravel.com

There are execellent guidlines and strategies to get the best price from
Pricieline. Make sure you read the FAQ and check the sections on Fort
Lauderdale to see what people have currently gotten hotel rooms for.

also had a successful precruise bid accepted on priceline. i just wanted a
"decent" overnight location and bid 2* airport, getting the fairfield inn at
$26 with a free airport shuttle and free continental breakfast. if you go to
the site mike mentioned, there's an option to bid through the $5 bonus money.
read the bidfortravel board mike recommended. it's a little complicated, but a
wealth of knowledge.

::: echoing Mike and LLmoyer :::

The closest Priceline zone to the pier is Fort Lauderdale. Just got the
Embassy Suites there for the night of 3/30 for $60 + the $5 bonus LLmoyer spoke
of from biddingfortravel.com.

The Embassy Suites is a 3* property on Priceline.

If your new to priceline I'd definitely recommend visiting this site
for info and help...It sure helped me. I just booked a hotel with
them for San Juan pre-cruise for 75 a night.
