We are cruising in April on the Fascination. We understand
you can purchase "Bon Voyage Bar Credits" through Seachest
Associates a division of Carnival. @ 800-522-7648. You will
receive 4 coupons with gratuity included for $15.00. Does
this seem like a savings? Does anyone know the price of
Beer, Mixed drinks such as Margarita's and do these coupons
cover these drinks. I know that this would at least be a
convenience of knowing you won't be hit with a large drink
bill at the end of the cruise. Let me know your thoughts?

Thanks Jim

I believe the Drink Coupons are now 4/$16 which equates to $4.00/drink. The
coupon includes tip, so that is where you will find your savings. Beer is less
than $4/drink so I would not use the coupons for beer. Wine is more like
$6/drink and I don't think they will accept the drink coupons for wine. Mixed
drinks (such as Margarita's) are the drinks that the coupons are intended for.
I think the mixed drinks run around $4 and up. You just hand them the coupon
and no tip and you are done (I have heard that most servers will accept the
coupons for any mixed drink even most of the frozen drinks that are priced a
bit higher). So the coupons are convenient and if you were planning on buying
mixed drinks anyway, you will save the 15% tip on every drink you use a coupon
for. If you only drink beer or wine, the coupons will not be a good value.
Hope this helps! Happy Sailing!

Woody,
Let us know if you get them and if you have any problem using them.
Sounds like a good idea to me. Seems like a beer was 3.67 and a drink was
about 5

Woody, we were on Paradise last month and used the drink coupons. At that
time they were 4 for $15 as you stated. If you are going to drink mixed
drinks instead of beer, they are a definite savings. To start with you save
15% tip and most blended drinks ie.margaritas, pina coladas etc. are 4.50 so
you save there too. You can purchase a bucket of 4 beers for 3 coupons.
About the only thing they are not supposed to cover is the "special" in the
souvenir glass, however we found that when purchasing drinks on the Lido
deck from the waiters, they usually took the coupon for the special too. If
we cruise with Carnival again, we will definitely use the coupons again.
Hope this helps. Have a great cruise..Barb

Hi Jim,

I too am sailing the Fascination in April. We depart the 15th. Same as you? I'm sailing with a group of ten that includes my sister who has used the coupons
before. She tells me exactly what you've heard here. 4/$15, save .50 plus 15%. 30 more days!

Happy cruising

Jim,
I checked my room bill (We sailed on the carnival Destiny last Aug.)
and a beer and a pina colada together cost about $10.00 total (that
includes the drink prices and the tip.)
