Info appreciated as to which car rental agencies (if any) are located at
the Port of L.A. in San Pedro. Thanx.

There aren't any right at the Port. My have some located at hotels near the
port though. I know that Hertz and Avis both sometimes have offices at
larger hotels. Good Luck.

Last March when we sailed the Star Princess we rented a car at the LAX
Enterprise desk the day before so we could tour the city, then dropped it off
the next morning at the Enterprise office across the street from the San Pedro
port.
They shuttled us to the cruise terminal in their van. The San Pedro Enterprise
location was only open limited hours and they did charge an additional drop off
fee of about $50.00.

There aren't any at the Port at San Pedro. Enterprise had a local office at
one of the area hotels but then you ran into them not being open on Sunday
if you returned them on that day, but they had a drop off box.

Some of the other major car rentals too had area offices in hotel lobbies.

But that was 2 1/2 years ago and it could of changed by now.

There are no car rental agencies at the San Pedro Port. In Feb., we are
renting a car from Avis at LAX and dropping it off at their office in downtown
Long Beach (Code LB5). They say they'll drive us to the port in San Pedro
after we drop off the car. However, they didn't guarantee a pick-up at the
port after the cruise, so we're going to purchase one-way transfers back to LAX
onboard.
Arlene, if you need any additional info, you know how to reach me!!!!!!! :)

And we ran into the problem of sailing on a Sunday and their office
wasn't open. They had a drop box but none of your paperwork could be
finished on that day.

Hmm, I'm not saying you're incorrect about this being a port addy, but I
have experienced that an address can be near, but not at the location you
want it to be. However, if it's there, that's great. I doubt, though, that
it's inside the gates near the cruise terminal. And it's a long walk with
luggage from the terminal to outside the gates, to Harbor Blvd.

When we were there last March the Enterprise office was located in a small
strip mall across the street from the fenced Port terminal on Harbor Blvd.
Enterprise told us if we dropped the car before noon they'd shuttle us over to
the terminal, which they did. I agree with Terri, it would be too far to walk
with luggage.(about a 1/2 mile)
Ours was a Saturday departure on Star Princess so I don't know if anything has
changed at Enterprise since then.
I recommend calling the number above to get specific information on days/times
of operation and shuttle availability.
