Hi to all on this NG --

We've just booked an August inaugural 4 day cruise (NYC to Halifax) on the
new Carnival Triumph. We are fairly well-traveled, but this will be our
first cruise, and we've chosen this cruise in order to get our "first
taste."

Stateroom question: We're a family (party of four, possibly 5) and we've
chosen 2 connecting family staterooms on the Spa deck (1 deck above the
Panorama deck), 1107 and 1109. I know that the Triumph is still being
built, but, from everything I've seen, the deck plan seems identical to that
of the Carnival Destiny. Our staterooms are supposed to offer "panoramic
views" with "floor to ceiling windows."

Can anyone with knowledge of this (or the Destiny's) Spa Deck let us know if
we have made a good choice in room selection?

We are not party poopers by any means, but from available ship photos, it
looks as though the outsides of these rooms connect to the pool (lido)
decks. Is there a problem with privacy here (people being able to stand and
walk outside these rooms), or undo late night noise? Is there direct access
from our rooms to the outside deck, etc.(via a terrace door)?

Answers from anyone familiar with the Destiny's or Triumph's Spa deck, or
these rooms, would be greatly appreciated!!

Harvey,

There is no outside walking deck outside your cabins -- thus nobody walking
by or looking in, and no direct access to the outside from your cabins,
because you would end up in the drink if you walked out of it!
